Whether you call it a Miracle or Divine Intervention, it’s really the same. But here’s the kicker, as far as I can see, Miracles are always preceded by a human action.

And that Action is Obedience. Someday I’m going to chronicle the miracles in the Bible to list how each was preceded by a human action. Today I picked only one. The man whose son was possessed by a spirit that caused him to convulse, foam at the mouth, grind his teeth, throw him into fire and water and even cause him to faint.

It was a desperate father that brought his son to Jesus who said, “If you believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23)

And the father replied, with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.” (Mark 9:24)

It was part of God’s plan; Jesus intervened; the spirit came out and the boy was healed. (Mark 9:25-27)

Why, oh why then, when I’ve prayed, begged, cried, did God not intervene? I was genuine, I truly believed, and, nothing. Was I being punished or was the person(s) I’m praying for being punished?

No, whatever I ask should always end with those simple words,

I should remember Gethsemane where Jesus asked for a miracle –

Mark 14:36 “Abba, Father, everything is possible for you. Take away this cup from Me; yet, not what I will, but what you will.”

Cyber Hugs all and may the miracles you pray for, be part of God’s Plan for you.
